Aviv Regev to Deliver Keynote Address at ISSCR 2026 Annual Meeting in Montréal
The International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) is pleased to announce that Aviv Regev, PhD, Head of Research and Early Development at Genentech, will serve as a keynote speaker at the ISSCR 2026 Annual Meeting, co-sponsored by STEMCELL Technologies. The meeting will take place 8-11 July 2026 in Montréal, Canada.
Dr. Regev will speak during the Plenary Session, Tissue Stem Cells in Physiology and Disease, which will explore the mechanisms that drive tissue remodeling, adaptation, and regeneration in both healthy and diseased states.
Widely recognized as one of the leading life scientists of her generation, Dr. Regev is a pioneering computational and systems biologist whose work has reshaped modern biology. She held senior leadership roles at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, served as a professor of biology at MIT, and was an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. As a founding co-chair of the Human Cell Atlas and founding director of the Klarman Cell Observatory, Dr. Regev has helped establish transformative single-cell and spatial genomics approaches that are redefining how scientists understand cell, tissue, and organ function in health and disease.
At Genentech, Dr. Regev leads efforts to integrate biology, chemistry, and medicine with cutting-edge computation and artificial intelligence (AI) to drive drug R&D. Her own work integrating machine learning and AI with large-scale biological data is accelerating discovery in areas including cancer, immunology, and inflammation, and is redefining how complex biological systems are studied.

ISSCR 2026 will bring together an international community of scientists, clinicians, engineers, and industry leaders for four days of cutting-edge science, interdisciplinary exchange, and global collaboration, uniting the brightest minds shaping the future of the field.
Abstract submission and early registration are now open. Researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts by 25 February 2026 to be eligible for speaking opportunities and travel awards. The best registration rates are also available through 25 February 2026.
